The man who could have been champion

Jim Jeffries racing career goes back to the glory days of mid 70's, and on the path to a rewarding future. Riding bikes with suspension travel limiting to 4" at the rear wheel, takes brute strength and stamina. Jim was at the top of his game back in the hey day, until tragedy struck this fine rider. Athletes foot had taken it's toll on Jim with a vengeance, the itching was unbearable . He would stop during a moto just to itch his feet, so the dream was over. Today Jim still rides and teaches young and up and coming riders the skill that took him to over 3 3rd place (novice class) trophy finishes. But he claims if it wasn't for his athletes foot problem, he would be challenging the likes of Mcgrath and Carmichael today.

Mike Barris was a student of Jim's trying to follow him during a trail ride at Hungry valley, but Mike had mistaken the front brake lever for the clutch.....oh well.
